Coaching Staff

Seniors to be:

Head Coach: Kevin Tringali

Entering his 14th season, Coach Tringali began his career as a high school head coach for both Saugatuck and Fennville (5 varsity / 2 JV), before heading up the West Michigan Lakers in 2003.

Kevin and his wife Lindsay have a baby girl (Ava), and live in Saugatuck where he works as a pharmaceutical sales representative.

Assistant Head Coach: Joe Soules

Coach Joe is just coming off a 19 - 1 season as the head coach for the Forest Hills Northern Freshman team in addition to an assistant coach on the Huskies state ranked varsity squad. A FHN and Aquinas grad. Joe enters his 3rd year with the Lakers and 2nd as assistant head coach.

Assistant Coach: Kevin Towne

The Laker family is poud to welcome the newest edition to the WML staff. Coach Towne's passion for the game will be a tremendous asset to the program. Kevin and his wife of 5 years Katie reside in Zeeland. We are also very proud of the fact that Kevin has served our country for 6 years in the United States Marines as an infantry soldier. Prior to his service to our country Coach Towne graduated from Zeeland East where he played varsity basktball for 2 seasons. 

Juniors to be:

Head Coach: Jeff Overway

Jeff is entering his 4th year as a Coach with the Lakers. Jeff is a former collegiate player at Calvin College in Grand Rapids and is currently student teaching in the Zeeland school system. Jeff and his wife Linda reside in Holland where they are raising there three boys.

Assistant Head Coach: Tom Mezeikis

Tom has been with the Lakers from nearly the beginning. Entering his 6th season, Coach Tom has helped in many capacities. A former star player at Calvary Baptist, Tom has converted his basketball skills to a love for coaching. Tom has also been assistant for the Zeeland East Varsity program for several seasons. Tom and his wife Dawn have 2 little girls and reside in Holland.

Sophomores to be:

Head Coach: Mike Cnossen

This is Coach Cnossen's second year with the WM Lakers as the 15's coach. Mike is also in his second year as the Freshman coach at Sparta High School. Mike was program coordinator and Head Coach of the Spartan Hoops Girls AAU program for 5 years. Mike was a collegiate player and a all conference player in High School.  Mike and His wife Tammy are parents to 3 children, Colton, Katelyn and Mikayla. Colton and Katelyn are Sophmores at Sparta HS. Both of them are starters for their respective Varsity teams.
